A unique Sikh-Muslim fellowship for humanity

Jul 22, 2020

The Sikh Muslim Sanjha Manch, an inter-religious forum of citizens that promotes brotherhood between Muslims and Sikhs, is setting an example in communal harmony for the rest of India. By donating 330 quintals (33,000 kg) of wheat to the world's largest community kitchen at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the Sikh holy city, this unique forum has kept alive a tradition of religious harmony that has stood for centuries in the Muslim-dominated area of Malerkotla in Sikh-dominated Punjab, very close to the border with Pakistan.
