Beyond her predominant calling as the national president of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, the first woman to hold that position, Rajyashree Chaudhuri has a long engagement with India’s vibrant and diverse handicrafts and artisanal community. In 2005, she was appointed as Ambassador of Indian Handicrafts to the United Nations. She spoke to MCR during her recent visit to New York.
