Hearing on former PM Khaleda’s bail plea today in Bangladesh
High Court division of Supreme Court of Bangladesh is scheduled to hear a fresh bail plea filed by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chief Khaleda Zia in Zia Charitable Trust graft case on Monday. Khaleda Zia’s lawyers filed the plea with the HC last Tuesday, citing her illness.

BNP standing committee members held a marathon meeting to work out their next course of action on Sunday.
One of the BNP standing committee members, wishing anonymity, said they elaborately discussed the legal issues regarding Khaleda's release from jail. He said they also discussed party's future course of action in both the scenarios - if she is granted bail or not granted bail.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Moudud Ahmed, Jamiruddin Sircar among others were present at the meeting.
