Colombo: The Sri Lankan President’s Media Division says that all passenger flights and cruise ships have been barred from entering the country.

Issuing a statement, the PMD said that this decision was made to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 from visitors of foreign countries to the country.

The statement added that this will not be relaxed under any circumstances until the situation returns to normalcy. News Ist said. 

The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Sri Lanka has risen to 80.
