Colombo: An island-wide curfew has been declared in Sri Lanka from 6 pm Friday till 6 am Monday, the President’s Office said.

The President’s Media Division informed the public a curfew has been declared from 6 pm today (20 March) till 6 am on Monday (23 March).

Director General President’s Media Mohan Samaranayake said the curfew is being imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19. The number of positive COVID-19 cases in the island has gone up to 59.
