Eastern Province Governor Anuradha Yahampath has instructed the Provincial Secretary of Education to close all schools in the Trincomalee Division from tomorrow until further notice in view of the spread of the coronavirus.
Fifteen COVID-19 infected persons have been reported in the Trincomalee city limits.
The owner of a butcher shop near the town of Trincomalee has been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus, reports said.
