Sri Lankan government is yet to officially tell India and Japan that it is withdrawing from the trilateral agreement that was signed regarding the East Container Terminal of Colombo of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.

Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella told reporters that the Foreign Ministry has not yet officially announced to India and Japan that Sri Lanka is going to pull out of the deal.

“There were agreements in 2017 and 2019 and there were certain dialogues and exchange of views from each side, so we will be communicating our final decision in due course,” he added.
