Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa held a special discussion with the heads of health sector at the Prime Minister’s Office in Parliament Thursday (10) to find out whether the bodies of those who died of the COVID-19 virus could be buried.

The Prime Minister advised to choose a very dry area where the ground water level is very deep as per the advice of the health experts for burying the bodies of the people who died due to COVID-19 virus.

The health authorities informed the Prime Minister that the virus will be present in the body of a person who dies from the virus for about 36 days.
