The Chairman of the University Grants Commission Prof. Sampath Amaratunga said all universities in Sri Lanka will be reopened from the 17th of this month.

Addressing a media briefing at the Government Information Department, he said that the final examinations of the final and third year of the medical faculties have been successfully completed.

Until now, there was only one student in one room in the dormitory, but after the commencement of studies, accommodation in the dormitories will be provided as usual, he said.
