COVID-19: 348 new positive cases reported

Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health reported 348 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 868 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The ministry also reported seven new COVID-19 deaths and 1,833 recoveries

Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health reported 348 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 868 samples tested in the last 24 hours. The ministry also reported seven new COVID-19 deaths and 1,833 recoveries.

With this, the total COVID-19 cases in the country reached 32,672, the total deaths reached 826 and the total number of recoveries is 19,168.

Meanwhile, the number of known active cases of COVID-19 in the country is 12,682 and so far, 75,155 samples have been tested, according to data by the Ministry of Public Health.

Kabul was on the top of the list with 164 new cases followed by Herat with 28 cases and Balk with 23. Laghman was at the bottom of the list with one positive case in the last 24 hours, based on data by the ministry.

The recoveries were reported in Kabul (1,649), Kunar (107), Balkh (35), Zabul (16), Kandahar (12), Paktia (10) and Nimroz (4).
The deaths were reported in Kabul (1), Paktia (4), Nangarhar (1) and Nimroz (1).
