At least six members of Afghan security forces have been killed by the Taliban in two provinces of Afghanistan, TOLOnews reported.

The two separate incidents were reported from Baghlan and Nimroz provinces of Afghanistan on Sunday night when the Taliban attacked Afghan forces.

Six soldiers were killed in Baghlan province where the Taliban ambushed a government convoy on the Kabul-Kunduz highway. Six members of the forces were wounded in the same attack, the report says citing sources from the province.

In another incident in Nimroz province, the insurgent group attacked a checkpost in Chakhansoor district, killing three soldiers and wounding another six.

Neither the government nor the Taliban has commented on the incident. Though, a member of Nimroz provincial council suggested the casualty number as high as nine. The member also informed that the Taliban also took away all equipment from the post.
