Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury has indicated that schools and educational institutions could be reopened in February after months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“In line with suggestions by the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19, schools and colleges are most likely to reopen next month,” he told Dhaka Tribune on Monday.
 
However, academic activities at universities will not resume, the deputy minister said before adding they will be allowed to hold exams.
