NATO Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg said it is too early to talk about US and Coalition troops pull out from Afghanistan, but he said the decision would utterly reliant on the ground situation in Afghanistan.

To avoid Afghanistan from becoming once again a safe haven for the terrorist groups, Stoltnberg said the Afghan security forces should be supported. “Supporting the Afghan security forces is the only way to empower the peace process”, he added.

“We have to be sure that the Afghan security forces are capable to fight the Taliban,” he said.

The US and NATO has entered in Afghanistan together, Secretary General said, adding that alliance would leave together in coordination with the American troops but any decision in regards depend on the ground situation in Afghanistan.

The remarks by top NATO official made while Afghanistan has been gripped in spiraling of violence and conflicts with a significant surge in attacks on the Afghan security forces checkpoints and civilian-populated areas across the country.

Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission in a statement said that at least 41 civilians were killed and 45 others wounded in five-days (25-29th) of conflict in the country.

The US special representative for Afghanistan peace, Zalmay Khalilzad has resumed his peace mission with traveling to Doha, Tashkent and Islamabad, where he would discuss different dimensions related to the Afghan peace process.

Khalilzad in a tweet said that a stable Afghanistan was crucial for regional peace, security and stability in Central Asia, following his visit with the Central Asian Countries’ officials.
