Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said her country has to maintain friendship with all as it wants to develop into a prosperous nation.

"We want to build Bangladesh as a developed and prosperous country. Bangladesh has to step forward, keeping friendship with all to this end," she said, Daily Star reported.

The Prime Minister was addressing a function virtually on the occasion of International Peacekeeping Day 2021.

She said the prime task for her government is to improve the economic condition of the people of the country, alleviate poverty, and ensure education, healthcare and employment for future generations.
