COVID-19: Total number of infections crosses 3 lakh mark

The total number of people infected with COVID-19 in Bangladesh so far has reached 3,02,147, with 2,519 new infections recorded in last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)

The total number of people infected with COVID-19 in Bangladesh so far has reached 3,02,147, with 2,519 new infections recorded in last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 16.72 percent, while the total positivity rate stands at 20.34 percent.

Fifty-four people have died in the meantime, taking the total number of deaths to 4,082, according to the release.

The death rate now stands at 1.35 percent.

A total of 15,070 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 3,427 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.

The total number of recoveries stands at 1,90,183, and the recovery rate at 62.94 percent.
