China and Pakistan have planned a series of activities later this year, marking the 70th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties, reported The Express Tribune. Officials from both sides are planning to host around 100 events.

China and Pakistan established diplomatic relations on May 21, 1951.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the two countries are confident of hosting events, attracting young people of both countries to participate in bilateral cooperation and exchanges.

Pakistani Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque, at a conference in Shanghai on Wednesday, said that the two countries set a model of bilateral relations. This model is based on mutual understanding, respect, trust, support, and cooperation, he claimed.

China and Pakistan aided each other in terms of anti-pandemic supplies since the outbreak of the pandemic, demonstrating the partnership between the two countries, said Sha Hailin, the president of the Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, was quoted as saying.
