Three cases of the new mutated variant of coronavirus, first detected in the United Kingdom, have been confirmed in Nepal, announced the country’s health ministry on Monday.

A report in The Himalayan Times said the test samples were sent to a lab in Hong Kong which came out positive. All three persons were asymptomatic. Two of them recovered while the one still remains positive.

All of them had returned from the United Kingdom when the samples were taken at an airport in Nepal. Meanwhile, the government has requested people to strictly follow all the health guidelines.
