Afghanistan hopes to expand growing ties with Sri Lanka

Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani extending his best wishes to his Sari Lankan counterpart Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the 73rd Anniversary of the Sri Lankan Independence Day looked forward to further expansion of growing bilateral relations to encompass all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation

Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani extending his best wishes to his Sari Lankan counterpart Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the 73rd Anniversary of the Sri Lankan Independence Day looked forward to further expansion of growing bilateral relations to encompass all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

In a congratulatory message to President Rajapaksa, President Ghani on behalf of the people of Afghanistan, extended his “sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the 73rd Anniversary of the Independence Day of the friendly country of Sri Lanka.”

He said the people of Afghanistan have firmly embraced democracy and continue to fight extremism and terrorism.
