The meeting of the Joint Rivers Commission (JRC) between Bangladesh and India may be held within this year, said Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen.
Before that, a meeting will be held at the water secretary-level between the two countries, he said.
"The JRC meeting is not being held for many years. We will try to hold it this year," he told journalists after newly-appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Vikram Doraiswami, called on him at the foreign ministry yesterday.
