Two Non-Residential Nepalis (NRNs) Binod Adhikari and Kemika Bhandari have set a new world record of playing golf at the highest altitude, The Himalayan Times reported.
The duo has made it to the Guinness World Record by playing golf 5,545 meters above sea level at the base of mount Kalapathar - a notable landmark located in the Everest region.
“We also played golf at that height in a bid to promote Nepal," the duo said.
Earlier, the record was held by an Indian team which had played the sport at a height of 3,970 meters, according to Guinness World Record.
