Well, if you have no valid reason, but are busy roaming the busy street of Colombo in Sri Lanka, then you could be arrested and fined. That’s what happened to four women who were fined 50 rupees each for doing exactly that.

The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court on Monday imposed a fine on four young women on charges of idling on the streets in the night without stating a valid reason.

According to Mawbima newspaper, Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage imposed a fine of Rs. 50 each on the four women.

The four women were arrested by the Fort Police and charges were filed against them for idling on the streets without any valid reason, according to the Newswire newspaper.
