Nepal Army peace mission gifts COVID-19 kits to Lebanese communities

As part of the ongoing United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) support to host communities in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Nepalese Battalion (NEPBATT), a peacekeeping mission from Nepal, launched an indispensable ‘Covid Kit Support’ campaign to a number of municipalities in Lebanon on Friday.
Commanding Officer of NEPBATT Lieutenant Colonel Rajib Thapa handed the donations to Mayors of Meiss ej Jebel, Houla, Majdel Slim, Shaqra, Blida, Tallousah, Markaba and Mahibib respectively.
Each donation package included various medical supplies including, Personal Protective Equipment-PPE, sanitisers, liquid hand wash, disposable masks, infrared thermometer, and foot-operated sanitiser dispenser worth about $4000, according to a press statement issued by NEPBATT.
