The Essence of Time
All things need time , we know
All things need time , we know
But, we don’t give time to Time,
The minutes, the hours, the years it needs
To blend reason with rhyme.
Time is in no hurry to act, you know
Like both you and I are,
‘Cause it understands things better
And time, for it is par.
Not being limited by mortality
Time, is freer than us bound mortals,
We who count the nights and days
And grapple for our morsels.
Wise the person who understands
And accepts, the role of Time,
As it, silently, covers our journey, friends
Much like Pantomime.
A spectator is Time, as we act out our roles
Not a word uttered, nothing but, ever, said
The essence of Time is its passage alone
As it stands by the side, like an ancient stone.
