Gentle Words Are Like The Zephyr
Words that flow from a gentle heart
Words that flow from a gentle heart
Are like breezes that, softly, blow,
They do not hurt nor rent apart
As they caress, then silently go.
They may well be followed with typhoons
Or, lurking dangers in their wake,
The storms, within, they do not show
And, controversy they never rake
Then , even if kindly winds are pursued
By greying clouds and ugly storm,
We know the nature of all things
For, “change” is life’s eternal norm.
So, always be in an acceptance mode
For all that comes your way,
Why spend yourself and your time
On demons you cannot slay ?
We all get lost in the wilderness
But, why in the throngs of the world’s glamour,
Seeking fame and acclaim, from all and sundry
All mortal, so why the needless clamour.
Why do we look for rewards, folks, or airy-fairy, renown
Enough for us when our words, a kindred soul find,
Caring and being cared for, are rewards in themselves
To enable us then to leave our cares, all silently, behind.
Gentle words, gentle demeanour, gentility all the way
Humility, then, is second nature, God’s gift supreme,
Nightmares will all go away, as the morning breezes strike
The phantom rising from the East, a beautiful, resplendent dream.
Follow the paths your heart lays out
And,mostly, happy shall you be,
Leave to the wise of this mysterious world
To deal with their, created, misery.
Gentle words are like the Zephyr
A breeze like no other, a hymn, a song
Barely shifting the strewn leaves
And, blowing all day long.
Gentle Words
