I Just Heard, Rasik Balama

I Just Heard, Rasik Balama,
by Smt. Lata Mangeshkar - Angelic, and
it brought out the following lines of
my humble tribute to a golden voice
and a musical genius
The voice that makes you dance and sway,
The voice that moves the deaf they say,
The voice that answers heaven’s call,
The voice that enthralls, one and all,
That makes us sigh
And makes us cry,
Look at the stars and the sky,
And wonder why o why
That voice doesn’t some hearts melt,
Have they never heard nor felt,
The strings of their heart being pulled apart.
If ever a voice a sainthood needed,
It’s truly yours, O Lata,
I salute the nightingale, I do,
But, your voice no nightingale
Can ever match.
Voices once silenced are silenced forever,
But not yours, dear Lata,
Never.
