Let’s Befriend Simplicity
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
And, faith within your heart
Then, what are you seeking for, outside
When it’s all within, from the start.
Capabilities, capacities, all within us
Endeavour, too, is inherent,
Like the different parts of the body
Nothing lost, just spent.
Peace of mind and happiness
All this resides within us,
Rant and rave in golden wear, or
Happy in tatters and a ramshackle bus.
Simple things make lives simple
Less strain on body and mind,
The spirit free and freely roaming
Happy now and happiness left behind.
Think what makes and keeps you happy
And, you’ll see it’s the simple things in life
That, will always keep you happy, simply
Without the demon called, strife.
So, why not then befriend simplicity
Easier too, to hug and embrace,
Less frenetic would life, surely, be
More even and equable, Life’s race.
