Pakistan has reported 48 more COVID-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, media reports said on Friday, even as the country celebrated Eid for another year amid fear of the deadly virus.

Pakistan reported 2,517 new coronavirus infections in the past 24
hours, IBNS said. 

According to the figures provided by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), Pakistan carried out 30,700 coronavirus tests in the last 24 hours, out of which 2,517 returned positive, reports Geo News.

Pakistan's positivity rate now stands at 8.19 percent.

At least 48 people have lost their lives to the virus in the last 24 hours across the country, NCOC said as quoted by Geo News.
