Bollywood actor and producer Pooja Bhatt has rated Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, as having the best food in South Asia.

Pooja Bhaat, daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt and step-sister of Bollywood heartthrob Alia Bhatt, was responding to a post on the micro-blogging site where a user had written, “Karachi is the undisputed food champion of Pakistan. Don't bother coming at me on this.

To this, Pakistani producer Faisal Rafi tweeted, "Of South Asia, I dare say."

And agreeing with Rafi, Pooja Bhatt replied, "I second that."

The actor-turned-filmmaker visited Pakistan in 2016 for a fashion week, and walked the ramp with Ali Azmat, singer-songwriter, musician, and actor, who is best known as the lead singer for the influential Sufi Rock band Junoon.

According to the Express Tribune, when the actor visited Pakistan, political tensions between India and Pakistan were on the rise following the Uri (Jammu and Kashmir) attacks of 2016. The tensions were so high that Bollywood films starring Pakistani artists got banned in India.

But despite that, the actor headed over to Karachi and celebrated Diwali in the city.

She was hosted by Azmat during her trip to Pakistan.

Talking to the media in Pakistan at the time, Bhatt had said that she was happy to visit Karachi and mentioned that she has traveled to Pakistan several times before.
