Sri Lanka's Ministry of Health has issued a new set of 06 guidelines on the quarantine process for persons entering the country from abroad.

People coming from abroad must undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine process, according to a directive issued by the Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena.

The Ministry of Health has decided to release those who properly comply with the new six-point health guidelines from the requirement of another 14-day quarantine at their homes.
