Sri Lanka's COVID cases rise to 1877

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Friday (June 12)  in the country has risen to 1877, according to the Ministry of Health

Colombo: The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Friday (June 12)  in the country has risen to 1877, according to the Ministry of Health.

“A total of eight people tested positive for the virus on Thursday (June 11), and all were Sri Lanka Navy personnel,” said the Government Information Department.

According to the Epidemiology Unit at the Ministry of Health, 716 active COVID-19 patients are receiving medical treatment.

The total number of recoveries increased to 1150 after 28 patients were discharged on Thursday following complete recovery.
