Turkey has sent medical assistance to Sri Lanka, as Ankara continues its relief efforts across the globe during the novel coronavirus pandemic, Turkish state-run Anadolu Agency said.

Turkey’s Embassy said in a statement that Turkey donated 12 NF-400 NUVE Benchtop Centrifuges to Sri Lanka's Ministry of Health "to fulfill the requirements of the Sri Lankan health authorities in the fight against COVID-19."

The donation has been funded by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
