Pakisan has secured membership in three key United Nations (UN) bodies in the recent elections conducted by a 54 member principal organ of the organisation. The Express Tribune reported.
Pakistan was elected as a member in the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ); the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW); and the Commission on Population and Development (CPD).
It will assume the membership of the three Commissions from 1 January, 2022.
Pakistan earned 50 votes during the balloting process to elect new CSW members.
