President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, on Monday, reaffirmed Maldives’ commitment towards upholding the principles and values enshrined in the United Nations (UN) Charter, and continued support for efforts to fulfill objectives.

In his address during the high-level meeting to commemorate UN’s 75th anniversary on Monday evening, President Solih said that Maldives, since it became a UN member state, has engaged in successful international initiatives on climate action and counter-terrorism.

President Solih provided assurance of Maldives’ continued collaboration in international initiatives, and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment towards fulfilling the objectives of the UN Charter.
