Kabul: Industry and Commerce Minister Ajmal Ahmadi has said commercial ports between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan would stay open.
Ajmal Ahmadi tweeted, “Amid tensions of corona effect on trade, I prioritized issues and had a constructive meeting with Mr. Shadmanov Uzbekistan Ambassador to Afghanistan.”
He said the envoy assured him cCorona will not impact trade between the two countries.”
He said they decided not to close land ports between the two neighboring countries.
Ahmadi said they also discussed the importation of flour, wheat and oil to Afghanistan in a call conference with Yasin Galdino, Kazakh ambassador. He said - Kazakhstan will consider Afghanistan’s demands during COVID-19 period.
He said, “A list of AFG primary goods will be submitted to Kazakhstan by end of today.”
“I will have a conference call with Nasrullah Khan, Pakistan Ambassador, tomorrow and will talk supply of demandez items to Afghanistan, he said”
“We therefore ensure availability of flour, wheat & oil in Afghanistan markets & that our borders are open for all trade transactions,” he added.” (Pajhwok)
