Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior, on Monday, said that a group of around 100 people from the Taliban is involved in targeted killing across the whole of Afghanistan.
Tariq Arian, the spokesperson of the Interior Ministry, said that the 17 people who were arrested by security agencies confessed that they were part of the group of 100 people.
Targeted killings in Afghanistan have picked up the pace since the start of intra Afghan negotiation. In Kabul alone, 70 people were gunned down and another 130 were injured in the last weeks.
Most of the roadside bombings haven't been claimed by any groups- a continuation of the pattern evolved since the signing of the US-Taliban deal on 29 February, when Taliban stopped taking responsibility for road side bombings.
