Sweden, Dutch envoys appreciate Bangladesh role in Rohingya repatriation

Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh Alexandra Berg von Linde and Dutch counterpart Harry Verweij have emphasized the need to maintain focus on the Rohingya crisis until the refugees are repatriated to their place of origin in Rakhine State.
 
The envoys, who visited Cox’s Bazar from December 5-8, said Sweden and the Netherlands are deeply appreciative of Bangladesh’s hosting of the Rohingyas, as well as for the commendable work of all humanitarian actors.

In a joint press statement, they also said it is crucial that the international community continue to do its part to support both the Rohingya refugees and the host communities in to ensure their protection and well-being.
