Thimphu: Calling themselves friends of Bhutan, a group of tourists from Hongkong donated about Nu 3.8 million to the Prime Minister’s Covid-19 Response Fund.  The group headed by Master Lin Teng Jung of Taiwan and Miu Ling Grace Sung of Hong Kong along with his students handed over the donation through Yuden Tours, a close friend of the Taiwanese.

An official from Yuden Tours said that the Master and his students love Bhutan and they have been visiting Bhutan since 2016. The group is also funding the ongoing construction of two buildings for the monks of the Eutok Goemba at Shaba in Paro.

“Master and his students are totally inspired by the happiness philosophy of His Majesty The Fourth King and the compassion and love for his subjects by His Majesty The King,” said the owner of Yuden Tours.

Earlier, the group has also sent 4,000 pieces of face masks and 1,000 bottles of ETL hand sanitizers. Another batch of face masks including N95 masks is on the way and one box containing N95 is presently at Paro Airport in quarantine.
