Sardor Umurzakov, Uzbekistan's deputy prime minister and minister of Investments and foreign trade, arrived in Kabul on Tuesday and met with President Ashraf Ghani and other Afghan officials.

In his meeting with Ghani, Umurzakov said his country supports the peace process and the Afghan government’s plans, the Palace said in a statement.

The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral, economic and trade ties as well as cultural cooperation between the two countries, the Palace said.
