The Taliban and Daesh (ISIS) had threatened the Afghan government to turn Kabul into a Shia slaughterhouse if the government executed any of their prisoners, claimed the first vice president of Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh.

Saleh informed about the threat from terrorist organizations on a Facebook post on Saturday morning after his daily security meeting of 6:30 am with top security officials of the country, Arina news reported.

Saleh also wrote that he had directed the chief of Kabul NDS to send a message to their (terrorist) networks that the government knows their tactics and would not allow it.

The news sent shock waves to the Shia community of the city, forcing one of Ghani’s advisors to issue an assurance message for the panic-stricken Shia community. He said they must not be afraid.

The advisor also requested Afghan media to do responsible reporting so that it doesn’t create any panic situation.

Earlier ISIS took responsibility for some of the attacks that resulted in a high number of civilian casualties, especially from the Shia community.
