Nangarhar: The convoy of Chaparhar district governor Mohammad Seddiq Dawlatzai was targeted by a suicide bomber on Thursday afternoon, said local officials.

The attack took place at 03:00 pm in Behsud district, when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives close to Dawlatzai’s convoy, leaving him and his son wounded, said officials.

“The wounded are in stable condition,” officials said.

However, the officials did not provide further details about the attack.

No group has yet claimed responsibility.
