Sajid Hossain, a 15-year-old boy, has saved thousands of lives from a potentially horrific train accident in Panchbibi upazila of Joypurhat.

According to locals, around 1 pm on Sunday, Sahida Begum, the mother of the boy, noticed that a portion of the railway track near Khasbaguri area was broken.

Later, following the directions of his mother, the teenage boy waved a red flag and stopped the Dhaka-bound train.
