Pakistan Railways has procured a special chemical to exterminate what they call “dangerous rats” at railway stations across the country, reported Geo TV.

Nasir Khalili, the divisional superintendent of Pakistan Railways, said they would soon launch a “grand operation” to kill rats whose numbers have started to grow worryingly high. “These rats are very dangerous- even cats run away when they see them at the railway stations,” he was quoted saying by Geo TV.

These rats, he claimed, don’t die with normal poison tablets. So they had to procure a special chemical to kill them. A special drive will be conducted across all stations in the country to eliminate these rats
