Sri Lanka with the help of Japanese government has implemented a program to expand the “Empathy in the learning process” with the aim to achieve the sustainable education goals.

A program named ‘Learning for Empathy’ has been started in collaboration with school children, teachers, in-service advisors and the principals in this country with full financial support provided by the Japanese government together with Sri Lanka UNESCO National Commission and the New Delhi Zonal Office.

The inauguration of this program was held recently at the Ministry of Education with the leadership of The State Minister of Education Reforms, Open University Development, and Distance Education Susil Premajayantha.
