India witnessed another dip in the daily counts as 70,421 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, the lowest figure in 72 days, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Monday. However, fatality figures continued to remain high as 3921 people died due to the virus during the same period.

The total death toll due to COVID-19 in India now stands at 374,305. 

Less than 100,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 7 continuous days now.

This constitutes an overall recovery rate of 95.43%, which is showing a sustained increasing trend.

Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 4.54% while the Daily Positivity rate stands at 4.72% today.

It has remained less than 10% for 21 consecutive days now.(SAM)
