'Asia's largest' tulip garden opens in Kashmir amid tourist rush
As Kashmir witnesses a massive rush of tourists amid easing of Covid restrictions in the rest of India, the tulip garden has been one of the major attractions vital to boosting tourism this season, tourism officials said
What is billed as "Asia's largest tulip garden", housing over one million tulips, opened to the public Tuesday in Jammu and Kashmir's capital Srinagar. The limited-edition tulip garden has been cultivated over months by more than 50 gardeners, and it immediately attracted a large throng of visitors.

"We have been working for nine months and expect more tourists this year," Sheikh Fayaz, Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir's Department of Floriculture, was quoted as saying prior to the garden's opening.
The annual Tulip Festival usually attracts tourists from all over the world at the onset of spring.
