India’s National Security Adviser Ajith Doval, who is in Sri Lanka to attend the 4th National Security Adviser Tripartite Meeting on Maritime Security Cooperation between India, Maldives and Sri Lanka, called on Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat on Saturday evening.

The President and the Indian National Security Adviser engaged in a fruitful discussion aimed at further enhancing the entire gamut of bilateral relations.

National Security, Security in the Indian Ocean, new Indian investments, continuation of infrastructure projects and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries were the areas discussed at the meeting, the President said in a Twitter message.
