Sri Lanka and India are making progress on an ‘air bubble’ between the two countries, Deputy High Commissioner Vinod K Jacob has said.

“We had sent a proposal in August 2020 and I am happy to inform that we have just received the response from the Sri Lankan side,” he told a business forum organized by the International Chamber of Commerce, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Sri Lanka’s Daily FT newspaper.

Indian tourists are already visiting the Maldives under the air-bubble.
