Dr. Sreeradha Datta and Dr. S Narayan talk about their new book, Bangladesh at 50 - how the book came about, the role of NGOs in Bangladesh's development,  the challenges of governance and extremism, the balancing act between India and China, and finally onion non-diplomacy and hisla diplomacy. 

Dr. Sreeradha Datta is Centre Head & Senior Fellow, Neighbourhood Studies, Vivekananda International Foundation. She did her Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University and her research focus is on India’s foreign policy, with emphasis on relations with India’s neighborhood and South Asian regional security.

Dr. S Narayan is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. He has nearly four decades (1965 to 2004) in Public Service in the State and Central Governments, in Development Administration, was the Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister during 2003–04.
