New Delhi: Days after passage of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act, ten Hindu families that escaped from Pakistan alleging religious persecution took refuge in India.
New Delhi: Days after passage of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act, ten Hindu families that escaped from Pakistan alleging religious persecution took refuge in India.
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Manjinder Singh Sirsa addressing a press conference here said that they want citizenship and work permit to sustain themselves with dignity.
Sirsa, who is hopeful that the government will provide them citizenship said that when he explained the plight of the families to Home Minister Amit Shah he immediately asked the Home Secretary to look into the matter.
