Colombo: The Sri Lankan government has declared an island-wide, all-day curfew on Sunday, May 17, the Presidential Secretariat announced this afternoon May 14.

The curfew in the Colombo and Gampaha districts will continue as before.

The relaxation of the rules so that work and normal life can resume that began on May 11 will resume from May 18.

In other districts from Monday, May 18 the curfew will be lifted at 5 am and re-imposed at 8 pm each day until May 23.
